Hong Kong Investment Funds Association Appoints Stephen Po as Honorary Advisor


The Hong Kong Investment Funds Association (HKIFA) announces the appointment of Mr. Stephen Po as Honorary Advisor, effective from November 12, 2024.   This newly created role serves as a valuable resource to contribute to HKIFA’s strategic goals and objectives to enhance the connectivity between Hong Kong and the Mainland China.

Mr. Po is responsible for providing expert advice and insights on regulatory matters in Hong Kong and the Mainland China that are pertinent to the Hong Kong fund management industry. His term will be for the current term of HKIFA Executive Committee, which ends in August 2025.

Mr. Po is currently an Independent Non-Executive Director of the Citibank (Hong Kong) Limited and China Securities Co., Ltd. (中信建投証券).  He is also a member of the Hang Sang Index Advisory Committee.  His previous roles include Executive Director at the Hong Kong Insurance Authority and Senior Director at the Securities and Futures Commission of Hong Kong.  He also served as a member of the International Advisory Council of the China Securities Regulatory Commission, and the Chairman of the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) Committee 3 on the Regulation of Market Intermediaries.
